Welcome, I'm originally from New Mexico. I began carving at a very young age but began making a living with my skill a few years ago.  I collect folk art and decoys and appreciate the old mellow finishes which I try to duplicate in my work.

Each carving is unique and no two pieces are exactly alike. Each piece is signed and dated as well as cataloged. I carve a wide variety of items including decoys, santos, kachinas, bultos, weathervanes, northwest coast style carvings and folk art. Some of my pieces can be found in museums and folk art collections throughout the country.

With regards to the decoys that I carve, I prefer to limited myself to carving decoys the way they used to be carved by the early hunters. This means that I do not carve decoratives or decoys that could not be hunted with. Most of my duck and goose decoys are hollow. While collecting decoys for the last 30 years I have come to appreciate certain carvers from throughout the country whose styles I have incorporated into my work. My decoys reflect a composite of those characteristics as well as my own innovations.

My carvings are all done by hand and not duplicated on machines. I have a lifetime warranty on my folk art pieces.
